In this provocative session, David Donnan will cut through bleakness to reveal why California food processors are uniquely positioned not just to survive, but to set the global benchmark for innovation, sustainability, and premium value-added products. Drawing on bold lessons from global food powerhouses such as Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, and Singapore, David will map out how California can seize its structural strengths—world-class science, unmatched crop diversity, high-tech supply chains, talent density, and a culture of innovation—to build the next generation of food processing excellence. It’s about shaping the future and ensuring that California food processing becomes the ‘North Star’ for the world. |
